Welcome to this week’s edition of the Budgie Bulletin!
What a fantastic Sunday it was, as the South Australian budgie cohort gathered to celebrate the 2024 BSSA vs NEBS Interclub Show! With over 230 birds entered and nearly 20 exhibitors presenting a remarkable selection of 2024 rung birds, it was truly a day to remember.
A special congratulations goes to Sue Adams for winning Best in Show and Best Open Bird, Jane Kelb for taking top honours in the Intermediate division, and Paul Wilton for his win in the Novice category. These exhibitors showcased some exceptional birds, and we applaud their dedication and craft.
This year, the BSSA introduced a few changes to the usual show format for the November 1000 Show, and they’re pleased to report that they were well-received. Key updates included a later benching and start time, the addition of more judges to ensure a smooth and timely judging process, and a newly designed, more compact hall with convenient undercover lunch facilities outdoors.
Below is the full results sheet, including all class winners and the major awards.
