✅ Who Can Enter

Open to all current financial members of any Bird Society.
This is a BCSA Status Movement Show.
Birds must be owner bred and rung with a 2024 RED ANBC closed ring.
Run under BSSA Show Rules.

✨ Special Notes

Light Spotting is encouraged – no penalties for extra spots (Nationals are coming up!).
Birds cannot be removed before 2:30 PM, unless approved by the Show Manager.
All entries must be in by 8:00 PM, Monday 28 April 2025.

💰 Entry Fees

$1.00 per bird (first 20 entries), then free for any extras!
$1.50 postage – paid on the day at the door.
Cage stickers will be mailed to the address on your entry form.

Benching: From 9:30 AM
Judging starts: 10:30 AM
Presentation: 2:30 PM

🛡️ Important Requirements

Show cages must be standard BSSA-approved (chrome or powder-coated accepted).
Cages must include:
- White D cup half full of seed (Canary, Jap, White Millet mix only), bottom wire near door
- Dry drinker, placed four spaces in from the left and level with perch
- White paper/plastic insert allowed on cage floor
- Sticker on bottom left-hand side
The Safety Officer may reject birds showing signs of illness or poor preparation.

☀️ Hot Weather Policy

If the forecast is 32°C or higher on Channel 7’s 6 PM news the night before, the show will be cancelled. Exhibitors are responsible for checking the forecast.

Grand Champion, Reserve, Intermediate, Novice, and Junior categories.
Perpetual Trophies for highest-placed BSSA members in various colour classes.
Total prize pool: $1525.00, including trophies, rosettes, and sponsored bird seed.

🌈 Best of Colour/Variety in Show

32 Class Winners: $30 each
Recognising top birds in colour classes including Light Green, Violet, Lutino, Spangle, Pied, Cinnamonwing, and more!

68 classes covering all standard varieties, colour combinations, and junior entries.
(A full list of classes is available upon request or from the BSSA Show Secretary.)

❗ Class Notes:

Yellow Faced/Golden Faced combinations must be entered only in designated classes.
Classes may be adjusted by the Show Committee depending on numbers.
