Welcome to BSSA Auction 1 for 2024

Currently, the Budgerigar Society of South Australia (BSSA) is excitedly launching its series of 32 auctions for the year 2024. Significantly, this week’s auction features an exclusive selection of 13 birds, each showcasing a variety of species including Dominant Pieds, Inos, Normal Grey Greens, Lacewings, Opalines, Spangles, Whitecaps, and Yellowfaces. Contributing to this event are esteemed vendors such as Marie & Kerry Murphy, Ken & Janet Harris, Jack Brink, and Trevor Goodenough. Welcome to BSSA Auction 1 for 2024!

Notably, this auction is set to conclude on February 4th. All birds are currently offered by BSSA members and esteemed guests. Importantly, we assure you that descriptions of each bird are provided faithfully by the sellers. However, BSSA Inc. cannot be held accountable for any discrepancies in these descriptions, and any issues should be directly addressed with the respective seller. Additionally, bidding remains confidential, displaying only bidder numbers. We also advise bidders to consider the birds’ location, as freight costs are borne by the buyer. Moreover, most of our vendors generously offer to transport the birds to the airport at no additional cost and are willing to coordinate with other vendors to minimize freight charges for the buyer.

Finally, as a non-profit organization, BSSA is dedicated to allocating all proceeds towards the promotion of our club and the enriching hobby of budgerigar keeping. Since our founding on May 20th, 1948, as the first budgerigar society in South Australia and a foundational member of the Australian National Budgerigar Council (ANBC), we have been actively committed to advancing this hobby in a contemporary and progressive manner.
