Matthew Troy 2025

Matthew Troy is currently running his 2025 Troy Family Auction, offering a carefully selected group of 16 budgerigars. He is based in Western Sydney, and all birds are available for rehoming directly from Silverdale, NSW. Varieties in this year’s auction include Normal Grey Green, Opaline Cinnamons, Spangles, Lutino’s, and several others.

Matthew’s stud continues to perform strongly on the show bench. His birds have proudly represented New South Wales at the Nationals. Recent achievements include 1st in AOSV Spangle, 5th and 6th in Clearbody, 11th in Ino, and 12th in Fallow. His main focus remains on producing quality Cinnamon, Opaline, Spangle, Clearbody, and Fallow varieties. These lines are built on foundation birds from James Matthews and Gary Gazzard, both highly respected breeders.

The auction commenced on 9 April and will run until 14 April. Bidders have several options for pickup or delivery. All birds are available in Silverdale, or Matthew can arrange free transport to the State Team Challenge at Windsor on 17 May, where he will be in attendance. To that end, this provides a cost-saving opportunity for buyers wishing to avoid courier fees.
