BNSBS July Auction 2026

The BNSBS July Auction 2026 is set to provide budgerigar breeders across Australia with another opportunity to purchase quality birds from respected vendors. It is hosted by the Brisbane Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society. The online auction begins on July 20 and concludes on July 27, 2026, at 8:00 pm AEST. Extended bidding applies where required.

The auction has been organised to raise funds for the Brisbane Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society while making quality exhibition and breeding birds available to fanciers throughout Australia. In addition, it provides Queensland and interstate breeders with a practical avenue to offer surplus birds to a national audience.

A total of 20 budgerigars are included in the BNSBS Budgerigar Auction, with birds entered by Alan and Chris Druery of New South Wales, Lee and Zoe Payne of New South Wales, and Mario Capasso.

Quality Varieties in the BNSBS July Auction

The catalogue features a varied selection of exhibition budgerigars, including Cinnamonwings, Recessive Pieds, Dilutes, Greywings, Melanistic Spangles, Opalines and Spangles.

With several specialist varieties represented, the auction may appeal to breeders seeking new bloodlines, future exhibition prospects or useful additions to their breeding teams.

Buyers should carefully review the description and location of each bird before bidding. This is important, as the birds are being offered from several locations.

The Mario Capasso birds are located in Morayfield, Queensland. Birds entered by Lee and Zoe Payne are located in Jimenbuen, New South Wales 2628. Meanwhile, the Alan and Chris Druery birds are located in Newcastle, New South Wales.

BNSBS Auction Extended Bidding

The BNSBS July Auction 2026 will close at 8:00 pm AEST on July 27. Extended bidding will apply to any item receiving a bid during its final three minutes.

When a late bid is received, the closing time for that item will be extended by three minutes. Further bids may continue to extend the closing time, up to a maximum extension of 30 minutes.

This system gives bidders a fair opportunity to respond and reduces the likelihood of birds being secured through last-second bidding.

Buyers should not send payment before receiving instructions directly from the Brisbane Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society.
