ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026 – Prestigious ABS Inc. Event
The Australian Budgerigar Society Inc. (ABS Inc.) is proud to present the ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026. To that end, this prestigious event showcases 267 high-quality budgerigars from 33 leading vendors across Australia. The aim of the auction is to continually lift the standard of birds on offer. Importantly, many lots have represented at ANBC Nationals or are direct progeny of national-level winners.
The ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026 will be held at the modern Beenleigh Showgrounds Hall, Exit 35 off the Pacific Highway, Beenleigh QLD 4207. Firstly, the venue is spacious, only a few years old, and located close to the ABS Inc. club house. Secondly, hall set-up is scheduled for Saturday 10 January from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Auction viewing runs from 8:00am to 9:00am on the day. Finally, breakfast is available and a scheduled lunch break is set around midday.
To make bidding as accessible as possible, ABS Inc. offers a bidder paddle system. The ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026 provides payment options by credit card, EFTPOS or cash (cheques not accepted). Phone bidders are welcome, and three approved agents are available to arrange freighting of budgerigars. Details are listed in the official catalogue. Caging facilities are also provided under a dedicated gazebo.
The auction will again feature live coverage. ABS Inc. is planning to stream the ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026 online. To that end, this allows interstate and remote fanciers to follow the action. Budgerigars will also be projected onto a large screen in the hall. This ensures every lot can be clearly viewed during bidding.

The ABS Budgerigar Auction 2026 catalogue is available as a PDF. It features a large number of clear colour photographs indicating the quality and variety on offer. These include saddlebacks, darkwings, dark-eyed clears (DECs) and Heritage budgerigars. Catalogues are being widely distributed via email, social media, the ABS Inc. website and at club events. Printed copies and a second print run are planned to meet demand.
