Join us for the BCSA Budgerigar Auction 2025, one of South Australia’s most anticipated budgerigar events of the year! Hosted by the Budgerigar Council of South Australia (BCSA), this auction will take place at the Klemzig Community Centre, 242 North East Road, Klemzig.

With 180+ quality lots from top breeders across SA, WA, VIC, QLD and NSW, the BCSA Budgerigar Auction 2025 promises an elite lineup of budgies across a wide range of varieties. Expect top bloodlines, show winners, and promising young birds ready to elevate your breeding program.

This year’s auction is especially distinguished by the presence of 10 Logie winners from the 2025 ANBC Nationals, as well as seven breeders who have been inducted into the ANBC Hall of Fame.
Their involvement is a testament to the calibre of birds on offer and the strength of support from the wider Australian budgerigar community.

Well-known names such as Peter Thurn, Jeffrey Leong, Mick Gearing, John Ennis, Holmes Family, Gary Gazzard, Graham McCallum, and Geoff Edwards are offering birds from their top lines.

Bird varieties include Cinnamonwings, Lutinos, Dominant Pieds, Recessive Pieds, Lacewings, Spangles, Clearbodies, Crests and more—many with National pedigree.

Pre-Auction Dinner – Saturday 2 August

In the lead-up to the auction, join us for a relaxed and social dinner at the Tower Hotel in Magill on the evening of Saturday 2 August. It’s a great chance to unwind, catch up with fellow fanciers, and enjoy some good food and conversation ahead of Sunday’s big event.

With several interstate visitors already booked into accommodation around Adelaide for the weekend, this dinner will bring together both local and travelling budgerigar enthusiasts. The evening is casual—meals and drinks are at your own expense—and promises to be a fantastic opportunity to connect, share stories, and talk birds in a welcoming setting.

We’ve currently RSVP’d for 20 guests, but there’s plenty of room for more! If you’re in town, come along and be part of the fun at the Tower Hotel, located on Magill Road in Magill.
