The BCSA Auction 2026, hosted by the Budgerigar Council of South Australia, is one of the major exhibition budgerigar auction events on the South Australian budgerigar calendar. The annual auction will be held on Sunday 2 August 2026 at the Klemzig Community Centre, 242 North East Road, Klemzig, South Australia.
Viewing commences at 9:00 am, giving buyers the opportunity to inspect the birds before the auction begins at 10:15 am sharp. With 184 lots on offer from breeders across South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, the BCSA Annual Auction is set to attract serious exhibition budgerigar breeders from across the country.

Varieties on Offer at BCSA Auction 2026
Buyers can expect a broad selection of quality exhibition budgerigars. This includes Normals, Cinnamonwings, Opalines, Spangles, Dominant Pieds, Recessive Pieds, Fallows, Lacewings, Lutinos, Clearwings, Crested varieties, White Caps, Greywings, Black Eyed Selfs and other sought-after varieties. Moreover, many lots include valuable breeding comments and family references. In addition, there are National Show connections, proven bloodlines and young birds ready to strengthen breeding programs.
The BCSA Auction is suitable for those looking to add depth to their stud, as well as newer exhibitors seeking access to quality bloodlines. The catalogue includes birds from leading studs and club-supported lots. Furthermore, several entries carry notable family history and performance references.
Successful bidders are required to arrange their own transport from the auction venue. The BCSA can assist with getting birds to the airport and will have travel cages available for purchase. For those unable to attend in person, the Council may assist with absentee or telephone bidding by prior arrangement. Payment must be made before birds are released from the venue.
