BNSBS Auction May 2026
BNSBS Auction May 2026
The Brisbane Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society May 2026 Auction is now live. It offers budgerigar breeders and exhibitors across Australia the chance to secure quality birds from respected Queensland breeders.
Running from 3 May to 11 May 2026, the auction will finish at 8:00 pm AEST. There will be extended bidding where required. If a bid is placed during the final three minutes of a lot, that item’s end time will be extended by three minutes. However, there is a maximum extension of 30 minutes. This ensures all bidders have a fair opportunity to place their final bids.
This BNSBS Budgerigar Auction has been organised to raise funds for the club while also making quality birds available to breeders throughout Australia. In addition, it provides an ideal avenue for Queensland breeders to offer surplus birds while supporting the wider budgerigar fancy.
The May 2026 auction features 13 lots, with birds offered by Brian Good and Toni & Trevor Broadbent. Varieties available include Australian Golden Faced, Cinnamonwing, Normal Grey Green, Normal Light Green, Normal Sky Blue, Normal Violet, Spangle and Recessive Pieds. With a selection of popular varieties on offer, this auction presents a strong opportunity for breeders looking to add new bloodlines. It also helps strengthen existing families, or secure birds for future breeding plans.

About Brisbane Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society
The Brisbane and Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Inc. was formed in January 1999 following the merger of the Sandgate Budgerigar Society and the Queensland Budgerigar Society.
The aim of the society is to promote fellowship and harmony amongst members, encourage full participation within the club, host informative monthly meetings, run table shows for bird assessment, and educate members on the care, breeding and husbandry of the budgerigar.
BNSBS also hosts an annual budgerigar show each year, with schedules available prior to each show. There are also zone selection shows for National competition.
Informative monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at the Bracken Ridge Neighbourhood Centre, starting with setup at 7:00 pm. The full meeting commences at 7:30 pm.
