BSSA Auction 16 for 2026 is officially live, presenting another quality selection of budgerigars from members of the Budgerigar Society of South Australia (BSSA). This auction features 17 lots from respected breeders Kerry & Marie Murphy, Stephen Wharton and George England. The auction commenced on Monday, August 17 at 1:00 PM ACST and will conclude on Sunday, August 23 at 7:00 PM ACST, with extended bidding applying where required.

Budgerigar varieties represented across the auction include Cinnamonwings, Greywings, Normal Light Greens, Recessive Pieds, Spangle Double Factors and more. Whether you are looking for birds to strengthen an established breeding program or searching for something new for your stud, BSSA Auction 16 provides another opportunity to purchase budgies directly from BSSA members.

Bidding in BSSA Auction 16

All bidding is anonymous, meaning only your bidder number will appear during the auction. Bidders are encouraged to register their phone number to make communication easier if they are successful.

Please carefully check the location of each bird before bidding. Freight costs and freight arrangements remain the responsibility of the purchaser. Almost all vendors are happy to transport birds to their nearest airport at no additional cost and may combine consignments with other vendors to help reduce freight expenses.
