BSSA Auction 17 for 2026 is set to get underway on Monday, 24 August 2026. This event offers budgerigar enthusiasts another excellent opportunity to add quality birds from established South Australian breeders to their aviaries.
This latest Budgerigar Society of South Australia auction features 17 birds offered by Trevor Goodenough, Marie & Kerry Murphy, George England, Ken & Janet Harris, and Chris Murphy.
With a strong selection of varieties represented, BSSA Auction 17 provides something for breeders working across a number of different directions. Birds on offer include Spangles, Recessive Pieds, Opalines, Lacewings, Dilutes, Cinnamonwings and more. Therefore, there are opportunities for both variety breeders and exhibitors looking to strengthen their breeding teams.
BSSA Auction 17 Dates
Bidding opens on 24 August 2026. The auction will conclude on Sunday, 30 August 2026 at 7:00 PM ACST, with extended bidding applying.
All bidding is conducted online through 32auctions, and bids remain anonymous, with only each participant’s bidder number displayed.

The birds featured in BSSA Auction 17 2026 are being sold on behalf of BSSA members. Moreover, all bird descriptions and information supplied in the auction listings are provided in good faith by the individual sellers.
Prospective buyers should carefully check the location of each bird before bidding. This is important as all freight costs remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
Bidders are encouraged to register their phone number when creating their bidding account, as this makes the contact process considerably easier following the completion of the auction.
Almost all BSSA vendors are happy to transport purchased birds to their nearest airport at no additional cost. Where possible, vendors will also work together to combine birds and freight arrangements. This helps purchasers reduce overall transport costs.
