Andrew & Wayne Cusack Auction 3 2026 is now open. It offers budgerigar fanciers the opportunity to purchase birds from the well-known A & W Cusack stud. This is the third of several auctions being held by Andrew and Wayne Cusack. In addition, it features a selection of cull birds from their strong and successful lines. The birds available in this auction are mostly lesser siblings to their top birds. They are also birds bred from quality pairs that did not quite make the grade for Andrew and Wayne to retain in their own breeding team. There are also a couple of older birds that will not be used again by the Cusacks. Nevertheless, these birds come from good lines and may offer value to breeders looking to add face, style, variety or related bloodlines to their own birdrooms.
About the Cusack Partnership
A & W Cusack are well known for producing budgerigars with plenty of face. Wayne Cusack has enjoyed considerable success over the past 30 years. He has had numerous birds representing New South Wales at the ANBC National Championships. Wayne has had five national winners, all in the Black Eyed Self class, and is now recognised in the Hall of Fame. Furthermore, Wayne has also won many grand champion and section champion awards throughout New South Wales. He has a strong focus on line breeding birds that share similar features and looks.
Andrew Cusack has also achieved success at National level. For example, Normal Greys placed 6th in 2022, Clearwings placed 2nd in 2023, Clearwings placed 3rd in 2026, and Greywings placed 10th in 2026. Andrew has also won several grand champion and section champion awards across the state. Additionally, together, Andrew and Wayne have won numerous Best of Variety awards at shows.
Andrew and Wayne began showing in partnership as A & W Cusack on 4th June 2023. Their birds are semi-related across both studs, as they share many birds and maintain a connected breeding program.
Auction Details
Andrew & Wayne Cusack Auction 3 2026 starts on June 8th, 2026. It ends on June 14th, 2026 at 8:00 PM AEST. The auction includes 20 birds across a variety of exhibition budgerigar types.
Varieties on offer include Black Eyed Self, Cinnamonwing, Clearwing, Dilute, Fallow, Normal Green, Normal Grey Green, Lutino, Recessive Pied and Spangle.
Collection, Freight and Payment
Birds can be collected from Dubbo, New South Wales. Buyers may also arrange air freight at their own cost, with transport boxes available if required. Boxes to fit 1–4 birds are $25 each, and boxes to fit 5–10 birds are $30 each.
All winning bids must be paid within 48 hours of the auction conclusion.
