Cusack Budgerigar Auction 5 2026

The Cusack Budgerigar Auction 5 2026 is now live, marking the fifth and final auction being held by Andrew and Wayne Cusack. To that end, this auction offers fanciers the opportunity to secure quality budgerigars from the respected Cusack bloodlines. The birds are located in Dubbo, New South Wales.

This auction features a selection of cull birds from the Cusack family’s strong and proven lines. Many of the birds on offer are lesser siblings to some of their better birds. In addition, some have been bred from quality pairs but did not quite make the grade to be retained in the Cusack breeding program. There are also a couple of older birds included that will not be used again by the Cusacks. While these birds are being moved on, they still come from lines known for type, family consistency, and strong facial features.

About the Cusacks

Wayne Cusack has been a highly successful budgerigar exhibitor for more than 30 years. During this time, numerous birds represented New South Wales at the Australian National Budgerigar Championships. He has bred five national winners, all in the Black Eyed Self class, and is now recognised in the Hall of Fame. Over his time in the hobby, Wayne has also won multiple Grand Champion and Section Champion awards throughout New South Wales.

Andrew Cusack has also achieved success at national level. His Normal Greys placed 6th in 2022, Clearwings placed 2nd in 2023, Clearwings placed 3rd in 2026, and Greywings placed 10th in 2026. Andrew has also won several Grand Champion and Section Champion awards at state level. Together, Andrew and Wayne have won numerous Best of Variety awards at shows. They began officially showing in partnership under the name A & W Cusack from 4 June 2023.

Birds in this auction include Cinnamonwings, Split Black Eyed Selfs, Dark Eyed Clears, Clearwings, Dilutes, Recessive Pieds, and more.

The auction starts on June 16th and finishes on June 21st at 8:00 PM AEST. Birds are located at 109 Birch Ave, Dubbo NSW 2830. Collection is available from Dubbo, or buyers may arrange air freight at their own cost. Boxes are available for $25 for 1–4 birds and $30 for 5–10 birds.
