DAM Budgerigars Auction 2025 – Champion Bloodlines on Offer
The DAM Budgerigars Auction 2025 is a rare opportunity to secure quality exhibition budgerigars from a proven Champion stud in Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, Victoria. As they prepare to move house in December, they are reducing numbers to make the transition easier. To that end, this means this auction includes several birds we would normally keep.
Featuring 50 carefully selected birds, this single, larger budgerigar auction has been designed to make it easier for buyers to organise freight, rather than spreading sales across multiple smaller events. The auction ends on 7 December at 8:30 PM AEDT, with extended bidding available.
Dam Budgerigars have been breeding exhibition budgerigars since 2014 in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Moreover, in recent years, they have focused more seriously on showing as D&M Vremec with the Clyde Budgerigar Society. Their stud has enjoyed strong results at both UBC and Young Bird Shields and, in 2025, they were proud to win 1st in Lacewing and 2nd in Violet at the ANBC Nationals. Importantly, these performances have contributed to our recent elevation to Champion status. This auction allows other fanciers to tap into those bloodlines.
Most of the birds on offer are home-bred, with a small number of quality outcrosses. Varieties include Yellow Faced, Violets, Cinnamonwings, Normals, Recessive Pieds, Lacewings and more. This offers options for both established exhibitors and newer breeders looking to improve their stud. Due to the challenging weather and tight moving timeline, some birds are still missing feathers, including flights. Thus, their condition is clearly noted in the individual lot descriptions, and Dam Budgerigars are happy to answer any further questions.

Buyers are responsible for carry boxes, freighting arrangements and all associated costs. While they are generally unable to transfer birds to the airport, this may be considered for larger purchases by prior arrangement.
