Eric Whitton Sale Birds Auction – September 2026

The Eric Whitton Sale Birds Auction September 2026 is now underway. It provides budgerigar breeders across Australia with an opportunity to purchase birds from the well-known Eric Whitton stud. Breeders can also buy from other respected Australian bloodlines. Running from September 15 to September 21, 2026, the online auction features 14 budgerigars. These birds have either been used within Eric Whitton’s breeding program. Alternatively, they will not be required going forward.

The auction is being conducted through 32auctions. This allows breeders from around Australia to view the birds, pedigrees and individual descriptions before placing their bids.

14 Budgerigars Available

There is plenty of variety amongst the 14 birds being offered in the September sale.

Varieties represented include Spangles, Spangle Double Factors, Dominant Pieds, Opaline Cinnamonwings, Normal Grey Greens, Yellow Faced, Normal Greens, Normal Mauves, Clearbodies and White Caps.

For breeders looking to introduce different varieties or bloodlines into their breeding programs, the auction provides an opportunity to consider birds. These birds have already been selected or used within established breeding programs.

Birds available include budgerigars bred by Eric Whitton. The offering also includes birds carrying the breeding of other well-known fanciers including Alan & Chris Druery and Chris Rogers, among others.

Used and Unused Breeding Birds

A feature of the Eric Whitton September auction is that the offering includes birds at different stages of their breeding careers. This gives prospective buyers the chance to assess individual birds based on their breeding, variety and previous use. In addition, buyers can consider how they may complement their own existing bloodlines.

Pickup and Freight Information

Birds purchased through the auction can be collected from Temora, New South Wales. For interstate and other distant buyers, freight can also be organised from Wagga Wagga Airport. Eric’s preferred option for organising bird transport is Carmel from Aussie Pet Connections. Carmel helps buyers arrange suitable transport for their purchases.
