The G & A Hand Reduction Sale 1 of 3 marks the beginning of a major transition for respected breeders Geoff and Ann Hand. After many successful seasons breeding quality exhibition budgerigars, Geoff and Ann have made the decision to significantly reduce their numbers and streamline the varieties they keep moving forward.
They will retain only a small selection of their 2025 bred birds and continue working specifically with their Cleartail and Melanistic lines. This reduction sale presents a genuine opportunity for breeders across Australia to secure proven bloodlines and quality stock from an established stud.

Auction 1 features 16 budgerigars across a strong selection of popular varieties, including:
A wide colour range is represented, including Violets, Dark Greens, Blues, Greys and more, offering breeders options to strengthen multiple breeding programs.
Importantly, all sale birds have been housed at a fellow breeder’s aviaries since last year and are now being released for sale. They are in full feather (tail and flights) unless otherwise stated. To that end, they are eager and ready to breed, making them ideal additions ahead of the upcoming breeding season.
