The Garry & Pat Heuvel Auction 2026 is now underway, offering fanciers the opportunity to purchase quality exhibition budgerigars bred by long-time breeders and Life Members Garry and Pat Heuvel. In total, this special reduction sale features 15 birds and concludes on March 15th at 8:00 PM AEST.
Additionally, the Garry & Pat Heuvel Auction 2026 is being supported by the Brisbane & Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society (BNSBS), who are assisting Garry and Pat with the sale as part of a planned stock reduction for the 2026 season.

About Brisbane & Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society
The Brisbane & Northern Suburbs Budgerigar Society Inc. (BNSBS) was formed in January 1999 following the merger of the Sandgate Budgerigar Society and the Queensland Budgerigar Society. Since then, the club has continued to play an important role in supporting and promoting the exhibition budgerigar hobby across Queensland.
Today, the society actively promotes the budgerigar hobby while supporting its members through education, competition and fellowship. In addition, the club provides opportunities for fanciers of all experience levels to learn more about breeding, exhibiting and caring for budgerigars.
The objectives of the society include:
- Promoting fellowship and harmony amongst members
- Encouraging active participation within the club
- Hosting informative monthly meetings
- Running table shows where members can present birds for assessment
- Educating members on the care, breeding and husbandry of budgerigars
- Hosting two major budgerigar shows each year
- Hosting zone selection shows for the ANBC National competition
- Providing members with a quarterly magazine and monthly email updates
Furthermore, BNSBS holds its monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month at the Bracken Ridge Neighbourhood Centre. Setup begins at 7:00 pm, with the full meeting commencing at 7:30 pm.
