The James Matthews and Pam Hewitt August 2026 Budgerigar Auctions are now underway, with five separate online auctions offering approximately 100 birds to new homes.
With Pam preparing to undergo a double knee replacement in the coming weeks, James and Pam have made the decision to reduce their numbers and make the day-to-day management of their birds a little easier during Pam’s recovery. This presents budgerigar enthusiasts with an excellent opportunity to secure birds from their breeding program across five conveniently timed auction events.
The auctions will conclude across Sunday, 2 August and Monday, 3 August 2026, providing buyers with several opportunities to participate.
James Matthews and Pam Hewitt Auction Closing Times
The first three auctions will close on Sunday evening:
- Auction 1: Sunday at 7:00 pm
- Auction 2: Sunday at 8:00 pm
- Auction 3: Sunday at 9:00 pm
The remaining two auctions will finish on Monday evening:
- Auction 4: Monday at 7:00 pm
- Auction 5: Monday at 8:00 pm
Bidders are encouraged to check each individual auction page for the applicable time zone, extended bidding conditions and complete terms of sale.
