North Queensland Budgerigar Breeders Club Auction 2026

The North Queensland Budgerigar Breeders Club Auction 2026 is now underway. This event gives budgerigar enthusiasts across Australia the opportunity to purchase a diverse selection of birds while supporting the North Queensland Budgerigar Breeders Club (NQBBC). The online auction officially opens at 8:00 PM AEST on Monday, 17 August 2026 and will conclude at 8:00 PM AEST on Sunday, 23 August 2026. Additionally, extended bidding will apply where required.

All birds featured in the auction are being sold on behalf of individual breeders. 10% of the sale price of each budgie goes directly to the NQBBC. This makes the auction a great opportunity to add new bloodlines to your breeding program. At the same time, you are helping raise valuable funds for the club.

Budgerigars Available in the NQBBC Auction

A fantastic range of varieties is represented in the North Queensland Budgerigar Breeders Club Auction. Therefore, there is something for breeders with a wide variety of interests.

Birds on offer include Cinnamonwings, Inos, Australian White Caps, Normal Blues, Normal Grey Greens, Recessive Pieds, Normal Greys and more.

Vendors participating in the auction include Rob McLean, Glenn Ryan, Brian Good, Brian Harms, Peter MacElroy, Kevin O’Callagan, Michael Pace and Peter Jeffries.

Bidding and Freight Information

All bidding through the auction is anonymous, with only each participant’s bidder number visible during the auction. The location of each bird is clearly stated within its individual auction listing. Freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser; however, most vendors are happy to deliver purchased birds to their nearest airport free of charge. Vendors may also be able to combine freight with birds purchased from other vendors. This helps successful bidders reduce transportation costs where possible.

Bidders are encouraged to register their phone number when bidding to assist with communication following the auction. This is particularly important if they are successful in purchasing birds.
