SIN Budgies Auction 2026
SIN Budgies Auction (Sinclair Budgies)
SIN Budgies (Sinclair Budgies) is pleased to present the SIN Budgies Auction, running 11 January to 18 January. This online budgerigar auction offers fanciers the chance to secure quality birds. The Sinclair team makes room for a strong 2026 season, with around 50 chicks currently coming through the breeding cages and flights at capacity.
About Sinclair Budgies (SIN Budgies)
Sinclair Budgies returned to breeding in 2017 after an eight-year break. To that end, they rebuilt their stud around proven, long-standing bloodlines originally sourced from Andrew McFarland. A small number of strategic outcrosses were blended in to maintain strength and progress. Moreover, since returning to the show bench, the Sinclair team has quickly re-established itself as a competitive name, with consistent results and a clear focus on exhibition quality.
The stud’s modern showing journey began in 2023, with three birds representing New South Wales at the Ballarat Nationals. They had a standout performance that included a Logie win in the Lacewing class. That same year, a Cinnamonwing placed 9th and a Lutino placed 12th. Momentum continued in 2024, when a Lacewing cock represented at the Launceston Nationals and placed 6th. In 2025, two cocks represented New South Wales at the Cairns Nationals. A Lutino cock placed 5th and a Lacewing cock placed 9th. Since returning to showing, Sinclair Budgies has also won Champion Open Young Bird and Opp Sex awards twice—results that speak to the depth being built across the team.
